... as the rest of it packed on, I was constantly on the move. There was no time to style my hair or pair shoes with purses. Short apparel doesn't work when you are hoisting a 2-and-a-half-year-old up onto a play structure or sweeping her off her feet. Dry clean-only outfits weren't options anymore — unless I wanted them permanently marked with Cheerio crumbs or sticky hand prints.
